Help Shape Dementia Research in the Somali Community

Somali Parents CIC is working with Imperial College London and the AD-RIDDLE Consortium on an important research project to better understand how the Somali community views dementia (“Ilowshaa” – forgetfulness), the barriers to diagnosis, and how awareness and support can be improved.

Your experiences and opinions can help develop culturally appropriate information, reduce stigma, and improve access to dementia services for Somali families.

Whether you are living with dementia, caring for a loved one, or simply a member of the Somali community, your voice matters.
