Cancer Awareness Program for Somali Community

Most members of our community are not aware of the symptoms of cancers including Bowel, prostrate, and cervical cancer therefore in this project, we are engaging with our community to become aware of these symptoms and encourage them to take part in early screening to increase screening uptake. In this project, we will hold workshops to increase awareness about symptoms,  screening centers, and support available.

We believe prevention is better than cure therefore conveying the message to the community members and learning about the symptoms of cancers will help them to be better informed and make better decisions to reduce health risks associated with these tumors and act as early as possible to protect their health. This campaign will make a positive impact and help to change the mindset of the community members and become aware of such dangerous illnesses which can be prevented by early intervention
