Blood Donation Awareness 

Helping to increase blood donors among the Somali community living in West London

Project Overview:

It is fundamental to work towards saving lives and increasing blood donors among the Somali community, as more blood donors are needed to tackle, for example, Sickle Cell illness. The project aims to educate community members and eliminate fear and misconceptions about blood donations.

The program objectives are to:

  • To inform and educate residents about blood donations
  • Increase uptake of blood donors to contribute to saving the lives of those at risk of losing their lives due to a shortage of blood with similar blood types.
  • Create a trusted and safe environment for residents to engage with health professionals

Key Activities of the program
